Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Tabla ("the Service"), operated by Marco Traspel as a private individual (see our Impressum). By using the Service you agree to them.
1. The Service
Tabla is a freeform board where you can arrange text, links, images, sketches, and stickers. Boards are private by default and can be made publicly viewable at a shareable link (/b/{id}).
2. Accounts
You sign in with a magic link sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure and for activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service; where the law of your country of residence requires a higher age to consent to online services, that higher age applies.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create on your boards. You are responsible for that content and for ensuring you have the rights to any images or material you upload. By making a board public, you grant Tabla the limited right to host and display that board to anyone with the link so the sharing feature can function.
4. Acceptable use
Because boards can be made public, the following are especially important. You agree not to create, upload, or publicly share content that:
- is unlawful, infringes others' intellectual property, or violates others' privacy;
- is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or threatening;
- is sexually exploitative, especially any content involving minors;
- contains malware, or is used for spam, phishing, or deceptive activity;
- attempts to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
5. Reporting and takedown
Every public board includes a report control so that anyone can flag content that may violate these terms. You can also report content by email to tabla@mt-web.dev. We review the reports we receive and, where content breaches the acceptable-use rules, may remove it or restrict the board. Tabla is operated by a single individual, so reports are handled manually and acted on as promptly as is reasonably possible; we cannot guarantee a fixed response time.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that breach these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time, and you can delete individual boards or your entire account from within the app. Deleting your account removes your boards and account data as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided free of charge and "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
We are liable without limitation for damage arising from injury to life, body, or health, for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and where liability is mandatory under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz). For slight negligence, we are liable only where an essential contractual obligation is breached — an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible and on whose observance you may regularly rely — and such liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of agreement. Any further liability is excluded.
8. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence. We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above. For privacy information, see our Privacy Policy.
